Kayla's Quilts

When I was a little girl, I remember watching my grandmother make quilts by hand.  It fascinated me that she could make lovely patterns.  I wished that I could make a beautiful creation like she could, but my physical disability prevented me from doing any type of needle work or sewing.

I suppose that's why I enjoy making various graphics because now I'm able to create pretty things on my computer.  I'm certainly no expert graphics designer, so I just make things for my own enjoyment and webpages.

When I saw how people made web quilts, I immediately knew it was something I wanted to try.  I haven't taken a tutorial on how to properly design a web quilt, so I just created the below quilt from "scratch."  It's not perfectly aligned, but I'm pleased with it for my first attempt.  It shows my American pride.

I plan to add more quilts to this site whenever I have a chance to make more.  I'm hopeful that my quilt making skill will improve with practice.

Enjoy your visit here!

This quilt is dedicated to all the American veterans and all the brave men & women currently serving in the military who have helped protect this country.  I'm grateful for their sacrifices, which have given all Americans the freedoms that we enjoy.
